Outreach Sports and Boxing Academy, is an exciting initiative for young people (13-18 years old) in Epping and the surrounding areas. The club offers young people in the area with facilities for boxing and training in a fully equipped gym.
The boxing club is aims to have a significant and positive impact on young people who use its services including:
- to instil good discipline and a sense of order
- helping to eliminate the boredom, loneliness and frustration
- increase confidence and self esteem
- providing mentors to help young people navigate life challenges
The community boxing club is the vision of Alan Mortlock who has been a successful boxing promotor for a number of years and has previously run a very similar initiative in the Thurrock area.
The boxing club is supported by Life Church Epping in collaboration with Epping Green Chapel and St. John's Church.
