David (Senior Pastor) and Lynette Tarr
Pastor David was appointed in October 2020 as our senior pastor here at Life Church Epping. He did his ministerial training and obtained his
Master’s degree in Theology at Regents Theological College. David has a powerful testimony of God's grace over his life. Previously, he served as the Associate Pastor at Westcliff Elim church and for 15 years worked as the Outreach Director of the ministry of Teen Challenge-London. David is supported by his wife Lynette who loves worship, women’s ministry, prayer and is a gifted speaker and exhorter.
David likes running, cycling, swimming and yachting all of which he does badly!
David Smith (Elder/Treasurer)
David has been our Finance Director for the last 15 years and uses his vast experience as Chartered Financial Planner to keep a firm steer on the finances of the Church. He is married to Brenda who is the Church Gift Aid Secretary and their joint service is an inspiration to the Church.
David was a qualified football referee for over 50 years! He now enjoys golf and dog walking as well as spending time with his family.
John McCredie (Elder)
John is one of our longest serving members of the church, coming to faith through Elim Epping's first pastor, Brian Richardson. He brings to our leadership a wisdom, patience and gentle spirit that are synonymous with his character. He is married to Cherry.
John enjoys walking in Scotland, watercolour painting and ancient history.
Linda Stringer (Deacon)
Linda is a long serving and dedicated member of our Church. She is known for her great ‘calming abilities’ and her heart for children’s work. Linda is one of the coordinators of our children’s work. She also maintains the links to our chosen children’s charities. This includes her work with Fountain of Peace (FOP) for which she has been out to Uganda to help on various projects and climbed Mt. Snowdon to raise funds!
Linda likes walking, travelling, crafts and reading.
